Bleu – Everything Is Fine

On Saturday I heard a report about the 10 billionth download from Apple’s iTunes.  It mentioned that the person doing the download would be rewarded with a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card.  I figured I could be the one so off to the app store I headed.

I like to mess around with camera and video apps. I stumbled upon 8mm which lets you shoot clips with a handful of vintage filters — 70s, Sakura, XPro, Siena, and 1920 — similar to the way Hipstamatic does for stills. And the app was just $1.99. I shot this video using the app. The titles and fades were done with iMovie.

The video is Bleu performing “Everything Is Fine” live at the Hotel Utah on 01.23.11 featuring Joe Seiders (Everyday Visuals) on drums, vocals and more. “Everything Is Fine” is on Bleu’s latest release “Four.” This was the San Francisco stop of the Ménage A Tour 2011 featuring Bleu, Taylor Locke & The Roughs, and Lindsey Ray.
